How to add attachments to an email
You can attach documents, images and other files to an email. The attachments are sent with the message and are shown separately to the recipient.
How to add an attachment:
- While composing, click Add in the Attachments field.
- In the dialog, select one or more files from your local computer or a file from your Drive.
- Confirm the selection with OK. The files then appear in the attachment list.
- Alternatively, drag files from your file manager and drop them into the email compose area.
- Remove files you do not need using the corresponding delete function.
- Check the file names and total size, then click Send email.
Local file or Drive file?
With Add, you can either upload a file from your computer or select a file already stored in eclipso Drive. Drag and drop accepts files from your local computer.Important notes about attachments
- The permitted total size depends on the attachment storage available for your account.
- Very large files may be rejected by the recipient or during transport.
- Do not send confidential files without encryption.
- Do not open unexpected attachments and check the sender carefully.
- For large files, a cloud sharing link may be more suitable than an attachment.
Tip: Use meaningful file names and mention in the message which files are attached.
